Provence Room...this lovely room faces southwest and you can enjoy the afternoon sunshine which reflects nicely off of the yellow walls.
This room was decorated with the French influence of Provence and has a few treasures from the Paris Flea Market.
It was also occupied by the three daughters and they remained here until they married (which was the custom during that era.)
It is the only room with twin beds for those travelers desiring a comfortable bed of their own...

Hearth Room... Relax in the soothing pale pink room, painted to match the color of the mature dogwood tree which is visible from all three front windows ~ if you are lucky enough to stay while it is blooming in the Spring time!
This room was originally the office of the man who built the home and is the only bedroom with a fireplace.
The peaceful decor will delight guests who wish to stretch out in the lounge chair and catch up on their reading.
This room has a king size bed and would be the ideal "honeymoon suite."
French Toile Room...a French influenced decor in soft hues of blue which promotes a sense of relaxation and calm.
The French Toile Room was originally occupied by the owners and it is reported that two of their five children were delivered in this room as Vancouver did not have a hospital in the early 1900s.
In this room you will find an entire wall of original built-in closets which was an indication of the owner's affluence as only a few people of privilege had a wardrobe to warrant large closets.
You will find a queen size bed in this room and a window which faces east to catch the sunrise and the songs of the birds early in the spring. This room has a private bath with matching decor.
The Hemingway Room...when the home was built in 1908, this was the bedroom for the two boys. It was with a more masculine thought in mind that the Hemingway Room emerged.
It is decorated with darker colors and a bit of a tropical feel for a real escape from the everyday routine.
We were extremely fortunate to receive as a gift the original carpet from the dining room which is now gracing this bedroom's floor.
This room has a private bath with matching decor.
